Cardston Electricity and Natural Gas Background
Originally settled by Mormon immigrants from Utah in 1887, Cardston has grown into a small town of roughly 3,500 people. The town owns and operates its own electrical transmission and distribution system, and operates as the wire service provider for the area. However, it does not provide energy service. ENMAX is the town’s provider of electricity at Rate of Last Resort (ROLR), while ATCO Gas is the supplier of natural gas.
