What is Sundance Power?
Sundance Power is an Alberta-based provider of natural gas, electricity, and internet services for commercial and residential customers across Alberta, including Edmonton, Calgary, Leduc and many other cities. They are based in Calgary and their customer service team are all local Albertans as well. They service all locations except for the City of Medicine Hat and some REAs.
Sundance Power plans and services
Sundance Power provides both fixed and floating energy rates – here is a quick summary of the plans they offer for both fixed and floating electricity and natural gas services. Note that for any of these plans, you may cancel at any time with no penalty. All plans include a monthly admin fee as well.
Natural Gas they can service all locations in Alberta if your current distributor is ATCO Gas or Apex Utilities – they cannot service any locations currently with a natural gas co-op.
Internet is available if you are currently a Shaw/Telus customers and are located in Alberta or British Columbia, some exceptions apply to rural or remote areas. They also offer bundles and rates for not only residential and commercial, but farms as well. Commercial and Farmers will have to sign up and check plans themselves, as they vary depending on numbers, locations, and other variables.
Sundance Power Fixed Electricity Rate Plans
- No sign up fees, no cancellation fees – Price is guaranteed for one year.
- They have 1-Year Fixed Electricity Rates available.
Sundance Power Fixed Natural Gas Rates
- Fixed Rate for 1-year – Price is guaranteed for one year.
Sundance Power Floating Electricity Rate
- Floating electricity rates vary by month. The floating rate for electricity is calculated as the cost of energy plus the retailer’s margin – Sundance Power has a 5-year rolling average. No sign up fees or cancellation fees.
Sundance Power Floating Natural Gas Rate
- Floating natural gas rates vary by month. Like with electricity floating rates, the floating rate for natural gas is calculated as the cost of energy plus the retailer’s margin.
- Sundance Power has a 5-year rolling average plan that has no sign-up fees and no cancellation fees.
In addition to regular fixed and floating energy rates, Sundance Power also has small business and farm rates available, but they do need to be called to set up, as the sizes and parameters are different for each customer and situation. Their friendly customer service is available to help answer any questions.
Sundance Power payment methods
Like many other energy retailers, currently, Sundance Power only allows for payment through pre-authorized chequing account. Your payment and bills can be found in your online account, as bills are digitally processed and available to see.
