Ambit Energy Canada is the Canadian branch of Ambit Energy, an energy company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Ambit provides electricity and natural gas services in deregulated markets in 16 American states, Washington D.C., Japan, and Canada, primarily using a direct sales channel of more than 500,000 independent energy consultants. In 2017, Ambit Energy recorded revenue of approximately $1.2 billion.
Since November 2017, Ambit Energy started providing services to residential and small commercial electric customers across Alberta. Its operations started in the ATCO Electric and ATCO Natural Gas service area. By 2018, they expanded their operations to the ENMAX, EPCOR, and FortisAlberta electric service areas.

Ambit Energy Canada acts as an energy marketer and offers a variety of both gas and electric plans. Ambit Energy uses a direct sales marketing model and obtains customers through a network of independent consultants who work directly with consumers.

In Canada, Ambit Energy offers residential and commercial consumers with both fixed and floating rate energy plans.
For commercial energy customers, the fixed-rate agreement covers a one-year contract with a $5 monthly site admin fee and an early exit fee of $250.
For residential customers, their fixed-rate agreements vary from one to three years with a $5 monthly site admin fee and an early exit fee of $125 for electricity and $75 for natural gas.
Ambit Free Energy Credit Program
Ambit Energy customers who refer 15 or more potential customers to the company can earn energy bill credits. This is done by using a personal referral link. According to the company, there’s no time limit to gather referrals and new customers.

Ambit Energy Bill Payments
There are two options for bill payments available on the Ambit Energy website.
You can choose to open a MyAmbit Account, which allows you to pay bills, view details, and check previous bills. You can also update your profile and select a preferred method of payment for your monthly invoice. The sign-up is free.
QuickPay is another option without having to create a new MyAmbit Account. QuickPay makes it easy to pay your bill through a bank draft payment option. You only need your Ambit Energy Canada account number and your last name to proceed to payment.
