What is NewGen Energy?
NewGen Energy is an Alberta-based energy retailer that sells electricity and natural gas services to customers that are within the province, alongside internet and Solar Club benefits, which are designed specifically for small micro-generators.
They don’t charge fees for signing up nor for cancelling your services with them.
NewGen Energy plans and rates
As mentioned earlier, NewGen Energy offers both natural gas and electricity rates. They also offer Solar through the Solar Club, which can offer bundled rates for more savings and benefits, if the customer is looking into solar in the future or currently already uses solar panelling.
For electricity and natural gas, they offer a variable/flow-through electricity rate.
NewGen Energy has a sign-up form online and they have information in every category they offer, including extras such as the Solar Club’s Shine & Win Contest, and they also have their past and future projects available for the public to see on their website.
NewGen Energy payment methods
NewGen Energy only accepts payment via pre-authorized debit from a chequing account, and it is their only method of payment. It is currently unknown whether they will accept more forms of payment in the future.
According to NewGen Energy, customers can expect to receive their first invoice within 4-5 weeks, sooner if they’ve opted for electronic bills and not paper.
