What is Neon Power?
Neon Power is an Alberta-based energy retailer that sells electricity and natural gas services to customers that are within the province, alongside internet and Solar Club benefits as well.
Neon Power draws its name and inspiration from the iconic neon signs of Hong Kong. Founded and operated by Atta Ho, Neon Energy is inspired by the owner’s journey from Hong Kong to Calgary.
Neon Power is a tradename of Utility Network & Partners Inc, which has many other local energy marketers working alongside them around Alberta. They offer internet, natural gas, and electricity – and can provide access to the Solar Club Loyalty Program, which is designed specifically for small micro-generators.
Unlike some other energy retailers, they don’t charge fees for signing up or for cancelling your services with them.
Neon Power plans and rates
As mentioned earlier, Neon Power offers both natural gas and electricity rates. They also offer Solar through the Solar Club, which can offer bundled rates for more savings and benefits, if the customer is looking into solar in the future or currently already uses solar panelling.
For electricity and natural gas, they offer a variable/flow-through electricity rate.
Neon Power has a sign up form online and they have information in every category they offer, including extras such as the Solar Club’s Shine & Win Contest, and they also have their past and future Projects available for the public to see on their website.
Neon Power payment methods
Neon Power only accepts payment via pre-authorized debit from a chequing account, and it is their only method of payment. It is currently unknown whether they will accept more forms of payment in the future.
According to Neon Power, customers can expect to receive their first invoice within 4-5 weeks, sooner if they’ve opted for electronic bills and not paper.
