Hudson Energy was founded in New York in 2002 as a provider of residential and commercial energy services. In 2006, Hudson expanded into Texas and Illinois. Just Energy acquired Hudson Energy in 2010 for $304 million, and since then the company has expanded its services into Canada and the United Kingdom.
