Planet Energy is an independently owned competitive retailer of electricity and natural gas services in Ontario, British Columbia, and Manitoba. In operation for more than 10 years, Planet Energy provides energy services to both residential and business consumers.
Current Electricity and Natural Gas Plans
As of 2016, Planet Energy’s current energy plans include:
Stability Plan: Available as both an electricity and natural gas plan, the Stability Plan features a fixed rate per unit of energy used. For the electricity option, customers do not pay Time-Of-Use prices, allowing them to use electricity at any time without paying a premium during periods of high demand.
Market Tracker Plan: The Market Tracker Plan is designed for consumers who wish to take advantage of the ups and downs of the energy market. With both electricity and natural gas options, the Market Tracker Plan features a variable rate based on current market prices. Electricity consumers do not pay Time-Of-Use prices, allowing them to use as much electricity as they want, when they want, without fear of premium pricing.
Peak Protection Plan: This electricity-only plan features two tiers of pricing, with users paying a higher on-peak price from 7 AM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, and a lower off-peak price from 11 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
reliaBILL Plan: The reliaBill Plan is a natural gas-only plan designed for customers who have predictable gas consumption needs, month to month. The realiaBILL Plan charges a flat monthly rate, allowing customers to know exactly what to expect when they open their gas bill each month.
