Comsatec is an electricity and natural gas retailer that serves customers in Ontario, Québec and some provinces in Western Canada. The company provides natural gas services for institutional, multi-residential (condominiums and apartment buildings), industrial and commercial customers. As to electricity, the company doesn’t own a low-volume OEB retail license, which means Comsatec can only provide electricity to customers that consume more than 150,000 kWh per year.
Comsatec’s plans vary not only based on the commodity (natural gas or electricity), but also on the customer’s energy consumption. Some of them have a focus on budget predictability whereas others can be based on variable index price, or even a combination of both.
