Gaz Métro
Previously known as Gaz Métro, Énergir was founded in the 1950s as Quebec Natural Gas Corporation. Since then, it changed its name many times. The most recent brand update, from Gaz Métro to Énergir, was focused on the company’s diverse activities for both residential and commercial customers, including solar power, wind energy, sustainability projects and renewable natural gas. According to Énergir, the new brand will make it easier for consumers to understand the company’s activities and main goals.
Although consumers in Québec have the freedom to choose their natural gas suppliers, Énergir can provide Quebecers with distribution services in most areas. These are some of the services that can be provided by Énergir:
- Supply
- Transportation
- Load-balancing
- Distribution (only Énergir can provide)
