Future Now Energy is a full-service supplier of natural gas that serves residential and commercial customers in Saskatchewan, as well as Ohio and Illinois. Future Now Energy is a family-owned and -operated company, and has been in operation since 2001.
Variable Rate Plan
Future Now Energy exclusively offers a variable rate natural gas plan. As of April 2018, the rate offered by FNE was as follows: a base price of $0.1453 per cubic meter ($3.79 per GJ). If the average market price of gas exceeds the AECO C spot price of $0.0766 per cubic meter ($2.00/GJ) over the preceding 90 days (what is known as the Average Market Price), then FNE will increase the price as necessary to cover the increase in market price, plus the cost of the consumer rebate.
Customer Rebate
Future Now Energy maintains low rates by purchasing natural gas supplies at low points throughout the year, and returns these savings to customers in the form of a rebate. This rebate is equivalent to 10% of a customer’s gas charge, excluding taxes and fees. These rebates are paid between 1 and 4 times per year, depending on the size of the rebate owed—the rebate is paid when the accrued amount owed is greater than $100, or after a year has elapsed, whichever comes first.
