UPDATE:<\/b><\/em> The energy savings programs were scrapped by the provincial government. Applications submitted before that may still be considered, but the rebate and incentive programs are no longer accepting new applications. Many of us rely on lighting fixtures and home appliances which are years or even decades out of date. While these products may be reliable and steadfast, they are also incredibly inefficient by today\u2019s standards, and consume far more electricity and natural gas than their modern counterparts.<\/p>\n

Energy Efficiency Alberta<\/a>, a new Government of Alberta agency tasked with helping residents of the province reduce their energy consumption, is rolling out a program to incentivize the purchase of energy-efficient appliances. Residents who register for the Residential Retail Products Program will be eligible to receive rebates on a variety of appliances, lighting, and conservation products.<\/p>\n
