Access Gas Services is a Canadian energy company that sells natural gas to commercial, industrial, and residential customers in British Columbia<\/a>, Alberta<\/a>, Ontario<\/a>, and Quebec.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s infrastructure\u2014consisting of several industrial scale storage facilities\u2014was largely developed by the Alberta Energy Company (AEC) in the 1980s and \u201890s. Over the last two decades, AEC was consolidated with several other companies into Access, which is now owned by Rockpoint Gas Storage.<\/p>\n

Industrial & Large Commercial Natural Gas Plans<\/h2>\n

Access Gas Services provides wholesale natural gas plans that allow large companies and industrial operations to manage their energy costs and keep them in line with their overall budget and risk tolerance. Commercial plans they currently offer in British Columbia include:<\/p>\n

Fixed Price<\/b>: Customers can completely eliminate price volatility with fixed rate plans ranging from 1 month to 5 years in duration.<\/p>\n

Index Price<\/b>: This plan features variable pricing that leverages the volatility of the daily wholesale market, and provides customers with complete pricing transparency. Index rate plan customers who need to reduce their exposure to rate changes have the option to shift to a fixed-rate plan partway through the plan term.<\/p>\n

Blended Price<\/b>: This affords customers the option of reducing cost variations by purchasing a fraction of their natural gas at an agreed upon fixed rate. This allows customers to take advantage of market changes by purchasing the remainder of their gas at the current index rate.<\/p>\n

Residential & Small Business Natural Gas Plans<\/h2>\n

Access has developed a number of natural gas plans designed to appeal to the budgeting needs of homeowners and small businesses. These include:<\/p>\n

Residential Price Protection Plan<\/b>: Homeowners can lock in a fixed rate for a 1, 3, or 5-year term.<\/p>\n

Residential Green Energy Option<\/b>: Similar to the Residential Price Protection Plan, but tailored for those who wish to take advantage of green-friendly generation options.<\/p>\n

5 Year Prime Rate Natural Gas Agreement<\/b>: This plan offers long-term customers the ability to secure an ultra-low rate with a 5-year contracted rate that resets once per year.
